Dress Code

In order to create a safe and productive dance environment, Wish Dance Academy implements a dress code. For all dance classes, we require dance attire. This includes leotards, tights, ballet skirts, or leggings. Street clothing is not allowed. Required dance shoes for the corresponding dance classes are also required.

In addition to this, Wish Dance Academy firmly believes in age appropriate and conservative dance wear as well as dance costumes. Crop tops or belly shirts are not allowed, and tasteful costume choices will always be made.

It’s extremely important for children to be dressed and ready to dance. Dance attire is made especially for movement, and uniformity in class helps the students focus on learning.
A football player wouldn’t play football without a helmet and pads, nor a soccer player without shin guards and cleats.

Jazz style tap shoes from Tween level up.  Black yoga pants or shorts are optional. If your child takes a ballet & Tap combo class they can bring yoga shorts or pants to put over their leotard for tap. Hair must be in a bun, or at least a ponytail or braid to be kept out of face and neck

All students Should Have a Dance Bag and carry in their Dance Shoes.  No Dance Shoes should be worn outside.

Punch Card System

In order to make dress code fun we instill a punch card system for students Petite Level and above. When they are dressed and ready for class at the beginning of class they will receive a punch in their card. After 10 punches they can turn the card in for a prize from the treasure chest. Mommy n me will still receive stamps, Baby Levels and Preschool Levels will receive stickers.

Of course I understand that sometimes Moms and Dad’s are running around, and might forget their dance bag. We are understanding.

Dance attire can be purchased at Wish Dance Academy, or Target or Even Amazon
